The International Specialized HVAC&R Exposition Climate World 2011 took place March 1–4 at IEC Expocentre at Krasnaya Presnya.
It was organized by Euroexpo exhibition company and the Association of Professional Companies in Industry of Climate (APIC). The 2011 exposition was held under the aegis of the Council of Federation of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, UNIDO Centre for International Industrial Cooperation in the Russian Federation and the Information Policy Committee of the National Association of Builders. The platinum sponsor of the exposition is AIRWELL and its official sponsor is TIMBERK. GENERAL CLIMATE and CAMFIL FARR are the expo’s sponsors.
Climate World is yet more proof that it is Russia’s LARGEST Exhibition Project in the field of HVAC&R equipment, commercial and industrial refrigeration. This year the exhibition saw unprecedented number of visitors — 21,393 people visited Climate World in four days. The visitors mentioned not only the scope of the exhibit but unheard-of number of novelties offered by various manufacturers. Many companies presented very large superb stands that attracted attention of all visitors. At the exhibition there reigned businesslike atmosphere, negotiations were held at each stand, new products were presented and contracts were made.
Largest domestic and foreign manufacturers and distributors, installation, design and engineering companies, trade mass media and specialized organizations participated in the exhibition. More than 300 companies from 27 countries arranged their stands on the area of more than 18,000 sq.m. These countries are Australia, Austria, Byelorussia, Belgium, Bulgaria, Great Britain, Germany, India, Spain, Italy, China, Korea, Lithuania, Luxemburg, Poland, Russia, Romania, USA, Turkey, Ukraine, France, Czech Republic, Switzerland, Sweden, Estonia and Japan. You can meet such well-known brands among participants as: Aereco, Airwell, Camfil Farr, Ciat, EBM-Papst, Ensto, Frico, General Climate, Gree, Midea, Panasonic, Remak, Samsung, Sharp, Siemens, Spiro, Systemair, Trane, Ziehl-Abegg, Belaya Gvardiya, Breez—HVAC Systems, Nimal Group, Johnson Controls, Inrost, Korf, Kupol, Lissant, Promholod, PM Vent, Rusklimat, Spetsializirovannaya Torgovaya Companiya, Tadel, Tropic, Teplomash, Thermocool, Cherbrooke and others.
Climate World 2011 presented recent achievements, developments and trends of the HVAC&R market.
AIRWELL, platinum sponsor, presented the whole line of commercial and household AC equipment. Timber, official sponsor, offered a great number of new HVAC equipment. The most breakthrough and striking stand was that of General Climate, traditional sponsor of the exhibition. Camfil Farr presented its latest solutions in air cleaning for ventilation systems that can be used at any type of enterprises.
The industry largest associations, APIC and ABOK, and the expo’s general partners, SRO NP ‘ISZS-Proyekt’ and NP ‘ISZS-Montazh’, as well as the expo’s general internet-partner, TopClimat.ru, also presented their stands.
The official opening was attended by V. Sudarenkov, member of the Commission for Housing Policy Utilities Services, G. Khovanskaya, deputy of the State Duma and member of the State Duma Committee for Building and Land Relations, I. Novitsky, deputy of the Moscow City Duma, S. Khmelev, Moscow Entrepreneur Association General Director, S. Korotkov, Director of the UNIDO Centre for International Industrial Cooperation in the Russian Federation, D. Kuzin, Executive Director of the Association of Professional Companies in Industry of Climate, A. Tyutin, AAC Services General Director and Airwell representative in Russia, M. Dudenkova, TIMBERK Marketing Director, L. Kiryakov, General Climate CEO, Lars-Eric Stolth, Camfill Farr International AB Regional Manager. The ceremony was mastered by K. Anisimov, Euroexpo General Director.
The attendees made special mention of the high value of the expo’s significance for the HVAC industry. They also stated that the exposition has gone a long way since its first edition and congratulated visitors and participants on the official opening of Climate World exposition.
The first day was closed with the official award of diplomas and certificates to permanent participants of Climate World and the party dedicated to the opening of the exhibition. Twenty companies that had been participating in the exhibition for 7 years were awarded platinum diplomas. Nine gold diplomas were given to those companies that had been participating for 5 years and 10 companies rewarded with silver diplomas for 3-year participation. The expo’s sponsors were awarded with diplomas, too. In addition to diplomas, the exhibition participants received buttons with the expo’s logo.
As part of the exhibition we prepared the Business Program covering key problems and lines of development for the HVAC&R industry. The program comprised three days dedicated to various topics:
As usual, novelties from the expo’s participants were presented within the scope of the parallel program. Within the framework of the exhibition, an offsite meeting of the Technical Committee for Standardization 061 ‘Ventilation and Air-Conditioning’ took place under the chairmanship of T. Solomakhova, Doctor of Engineering, leading researcher of the Central Aero-Hydrodynamics Institute.
On March 1 and 2, simultaneously with the Climate World exhibition, there was held the International Forum of Innovative Housing Projects. The Council of Federation initiated its holding and sent the Commission for Housing Policy Utilities Services to participate in the event. The event was organized by the International Forum for Facilitation to Modernization and Innovation in Russia. Euroexpo and APIC were the partners of the Forum.
This forum was aimed to facilitate modernization and introduction of new technologies in the construction and housing and public utility sectors of the Russian economy and to invite foreign technologies and investments into these sectors. The agenda included discussing modernization of available housing, push of energy-efficient and innovative technologies in the housing and public utility sector, options of social and economic partnership between government bodies, business structures and non-commercial organizations, measures to stimulate investments into the housing sector.
In 2011 participants and guests of Climate World saw several technological innovations. The Online Contact Center was launched so that guests to be able to obtain info on the exhibition via web and to communicate with the expo’s participants from any part of the world.
We webcast the most significant events of the Business Program. At the web-site of the exhibition, video reports on the events of the exhibition with experts' comments and video-interview of the participants were available.
Guests and participants got free internet access. In addition, we offered participants to visit the Business Center equipped with web-connected computers and all necessary office machines.
Many representatives of participants and heads of trade organizations noted rapid growth of the HVAC&R market caused by the extreme weather conditions of the last summer. In this regard, Climate World is a good opportunity to summarize the last successful season and make sound strategic decisions on the threshold of the oncoming summer. According to experts, next summer will let the HVAC&R market reinforce its positions.
Climate World 2011 exceeded a great many of expectations. Immediately after closing this year’s exposition, we started preparations for the next one. Climate World 2012 will take place March 12-15 at IEC Expocentre.
